air greenland co founder

Previously announced negotiations between Air Alpha A/S and Air Greenland have resulted in Air Greenland’s takeover of Air Alpha Greenland A/S.

The company’s facilities in Ilulissat and 4 helicopters (3 Bell222 and 1 AS350 B3) are included in the acquisition.

Air Greenland’s director Flemming Knudsen stated that the deal, with the acquisition of facilities and helicopters that already fulfilled the stringent operating requirements in Greenland, was an opportunity to satisfy increased demands on the company’s capacity.

Air Alpha’s director and founder of Air Alpha Greenland, Poul Lübbert, regards the sale as being a happy ending to the situation that existed after the loss of the service contracts. He believes that the sale will give Air Alpha the opportunity to use the remaining helicopters in the development of its strategy for a series of new and exciting products and markets.

A part of the acquisition involves a series of commercial agreements between buyer and seller for technical operational support for the Bell222 helicopter.

We are pleased to announce that those employees who are not staying with Air Alpha Greenland are ensured employment with the Air Alpha in Denmark.
